Deadly Summer

February 9, 2009

My heart goes out to those who’ve lost their home, possessions or loved ones to the disasterous bushfires that have spread across southeastern Australia, particularly Victoria, brought on by scorching heat, drought conditions and gale force winds. It’s disgusting to think that, as usual, some of these fires which started by miscreants, though it’s promising to hear that those found guilty of starting fires may be charged with murder as well they should!

Yesterday was a horror day for residents of Gippsland and central Victoria, and the result is the most deadly bushfire toll ever experienced in Australia.

This photogallery shows some of the devastation from the fires which have spread across large parts of Victoria and southeastern Australia.
