Being away from the TV and computer for the last 24 hours I’m shocked to say the least to wake up to the news that the President of South Korea from 2003 to 2008, Roh Moo-hyun is dead from an apparent suicide after jumping from a cliff nearby his home in South Gyeongsang Province, leaving a brief note for his family, friends and supporters.
My condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, supporters and to the people of the Republic of Korea who have lost one of their Presidents in the worse of circumstances.

Edit: I had written a lengthier blog entry on his death this morning when I first discovered the news. Though, having dwelled on this during the day, I’ve decided to edit and revise my initial entry as the man has recently died and it’s not entirely appropriate for me to express my personal views on the man at this time. May he rest in peace.
