Thanks for the replies. Christina, I’ve read the Third Chimpanzee recently and enjoyed it as well. Personally, I still think Collapse the first book of Diamond’s I read is my favourite. Though, Guns, Germs and Steel and the Third Chimpanzee are also very high on my favourites list.

S Blumenthal, Interesting info about the recent findings and further developments as we unlock more of our genetic make-up through genome sequencing. I’ll be sure to look the texts you recommend.

Hey there,

Thanks for sharing this! It’s both fascinating and scary at the same time. But having lived in Japan and having visited S. Korea before, I can say that I’m not that surprised.

I’m curious though, is it just the MALE English teachers that they are threatening or is all teachers in general? I would think that they wouldn’t see the female teachers (however few there are) as much of a threat.
